Refunds by Payment Method
Whether you can get a refund depends on how you paid. This page explains it in plain language. The full rules are in our Refund Policy and Terms of Service.
At a glance
| What you paid for | How you paid | Refund? |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription | Credit or debit card | Yes, pro-rata for the unused part of the current period |
| Subscription | Crypto | No |
| AI API credits | Card or crypto | No |
| Free trial | Not applicable | Nothing is charged, so nothing to refund |
Card subscriptions: pro-rata refunds
If you paid by card, you can ask for a refund of the unused part of your current billing period.
A pro-rata refund works like this:
- We take the amount you paid for the period and divide it by the days in that period.
- We multiply by the days that are left.
- We deduct any metered usage beyond what you were entitled to for the days you used, such as AI tokens or scans.
- The result is returned to the original card.
Example. You pay $100 for a 30-day plan and ask for a refund on day 10. Twenty days are left, so the unused value is $100 ÷ 30 × 20 = $66.67. If your usage stayed within what was allocated to those first 10 days, you get $66.67 back.
Please ask while your billing period is still running. A period that has already ended was delivered in full, so there is nothing left to refund.
A refund ends your subscription straight away, and any remaining allowance is forfeited.
Crypto: no refunds
Crypto payments are final. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, so we do not offer refunds on crypto payments, whether for a first purchase, a renewal or an upgrade.
You accept this at checkout, before you pay.
AI API credits: no refunds
Credits are prepaid, and they are not refundable, whichever way you paid. This includes any balance you have not used. See AI API credits.
If your verification is declined
- Before you had any access: if verification was required and we decline it, you get a full refund of a card payment.
- After you started with limited access: you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for a card payment, worked out as above.
- Crypto and AI API credits: not refundable, as above.
Other cases where a refund is not available
- A billing period that has already ended
- Accounts suspended or terminated for cause
- Usage you have already consumed
- Non-recoverable third party costs incurred for you
Your legal rights
Nothing in our refund rules takes away any right you have under consumer protection law where you live. Where the law gives you a right we cannot waive, we will honour it.
